Working with the Innocence Project of Texas, Gary Udashen and Brett Ordiway won the reversal of a capital murder conviction and life sentence based on false testimony. When originally presented with the case, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals considered increasing the burden on applicants raising false-testimony claims, but following oral argument, the court left the standard untouched and granted relief.
